Dr Josh Rich
BSc (Hons) BVM&S
Josh graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 1990, also completing an honours degree in pathology. His early career took him from Yorkshire to Mauritius, Greece, Hong Kong, and the Bahamas, where he gained extensive experience in both mixed and small animal practice.
Since moving to the Mornington Peninsula in 1998, Josh has focused on small animal medicine and radiology, gaining membership to the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in Veterinary Radiology in 2000. In 2004, he and Camilla purchased Mount Martha Vet, realising their vision of an independent, family-focused practice.
Josh enjoys connecting with pet owners, offering trusted advice, and supporting pets throughout every stage of their lives. Outside of work, he keeps busy with his four daughters, fitness, and his passion for history and current affairs.
Dr Camilla Babington
BVSc (Hons)
Camilla graduated with honours in Veterinary Science from Melbourne University in 1987. Her career has included seven years in the UK, where she gained broad experience in busy practices and even had her own “James Herriot” moments delivering lambs on snowy moors.
Returning to Australia, Camilla worked at the Animal Emergency Centre in Mt Waverley, gaining Membership of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in Emergency Medicine and Intensive Care in 1999. Today, she combines her emergency expertise with her passion for preventative and geriatric pet care at Mount Martha Vet.
Camilla values the long-term relationships formed with families in the community and still enjoys providing intensive care when needed — often bringing patients home overnight to keep them comfortable. She and Josh also foster puppies for Assistance Dogs Australia, giving back to a cause close to their hearts.
