FAQSFrequently Asked Questions
At Mount Martha Vet, we understand that pet owners often have questions about their pets’ health, appointments, and our clinic’s services. Below, you’ll find answers to some of the most common enquiries we receive. If you don’t see your question here, please contact our team on (03) 5974 1199 — we’re always happy to help.
How do I book an appointment?
Appointments can be made online using our secure booking system or by calling us on (03) 5974 1199. For urgent or same-day care, please call us directly rather than booking online so we can help as quickly as possible.
Do you accept walk-ins?
We recommend making an appointment so we can give your pet the time and attention they deserve. If your pet requires urgent care, please call us before arriving so we can prepare for your visit.
What payment options are available?
We accept all major credit and debit cards, EFTPOS, Vetpay and cash. Payment is required at the time of service. We also encourage pet owners to explore pet insurance to help cover unexpected veterinary costs. Learn more on our Payment Options page.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. We partner with trusted veterinary finance providers who offer interest-free payment plans (subject to approval). This allows you to spread the cost of treatment into manageable instalments. Please speak with our team for details.
Do you provide emergency care?
Although we are not a 24/7 emergency hospital, we can often assist with urgent care during our regular business hours. If your pet requires immediate attention, call us straight away on (03) 5974 1199. For after-hours emergencies, we will provide details of the nearest emergency veterinary hospital.
Can I tour the clinic?
Absolutely. We’d love to show you our purpose-built facility and introduce you to our friendly team. Please contact us to arrange a visit.
What types of animals do you treat?
Our team provides comprehensive veterinary care for dogs and cats. If you’re unsure whether we can assist your pet, please call us to discuss your needs.
Do you offer house calls?
Yes. For clients who are unable to bring their pet to the clinic, we offer veterinary house calls within our service area. Please call us to arrange a suitable time.
How do prescription refills work?
Existing clients can request prescription refills online via our Prescription Refill Form. Requests are usually processed within 24–48 hours, and our team will confirm when your medication is ready for collection.
Do you run puppy school classes?
Yes! Our Puppy School helps young dogs learn essential social and behavioural skills in a safe, supportive environment. Classes fill quickly, so we recommend submitting a Puppy School Enquiry Form early to reserve your spot.
Where are you located?
You’ll find us at 6 Langrigg Avenue, Mount Martha VIC 3934, in the Mount Martha Village shopping precinct. We have ample parking available, including designated disabled parking and stepless entry for easy access.
